During reading workshop you will see students involved in various tasks. The workshop follows this daily routine: minilesson, independent reading, and sharing. We will meet whole group while I model the skill or activity for the day, and then the students will break apart into small groups, partnerships, or individuals for the majority of the time. Students will either meet in a small group with me, read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, or complete word work activities. Sharing concludes the workshop as students are asked to talk about a story, a way they applied a skill, or share how they grew as a reader.
